Lady of the Lake Behind the Scenes

Here’s a look behind the scenes of one of my favourite shoots to date, Lady of the Lake. This concept had been in my head for a long time, inspired by Arthurian legend and the mystical, feminine power of water. I collaborated with costume designer Rosie Rendle, who created the flowing white gown and worked with an incredible model who brought the vision to life effortlessly. We shot at Colliford Lake in Cornwall, after scouting the original location at Dozmary Pool and deciding it didn’t have the right atmosphere. From sourcing a sword to building a hidden platform so the model could appear to be walking on water, this was definitely one of my most hands-on and creatively fulfilling shoots. These behind-the-scenes moments capture the energy, planning and collaboration that went into making the magic happen.
